Well, we have a little bad news....our CommunityAid Bin previously located on Trindle Road at the VFW is no longer there.
Why you may ask...simply, it was too many would-be donors not following the rules and leaving items OUTSIDE the bin, creating an eyesore as well as the donations being ruined by the elements which mean it just goes to a landfill.
Donation guidelines have been updated to only accept CLOTHING, and they MUST be placed INSIDE the bin. Please follow these rules at our two remaining bins. Safe Harbour is compensated for your donations, but those dollars will continue to decrease to pay for the disposal costs incurred by those who don't follow the rules.
So to restate:
DONATE USED CLOTHING TO OUR COMMUNITY AID BINS
*IF BINS ARE FULL PLEASE DO NOT PUT ITEMS OUTSIDE OF THE BIN, THIS IS CONSIDERED DUMPING*
WHEN ITEMS ARE LEFT OUT IN THE ELEMENTS, THEY ARE UNABLE TO BE ACCEPTED BY COMMUNITY AID AND ARE SENT TO A LANDFILL.
Current Bin Locations:
Arooga’s Grille House and Sports Bar – Route 22/Allentown Blvd. – Harrisburg
Engenuity – 180 Silver Spring Rd, Mechanicsburg

Safe Harbour recognizes the ongoing support of F&M Trust and is extremely grateful for their support of our annual campaign.
Safe Harbour donors met (and exceeded) the challenge of 25-$1,000 donations during the appeal which F&M Trust rewarded with not only their own $1,000 gift but an additional $2,000!
The 2020-21 campaign raised a record $115,474 with 29 donors contributing $1,000 or more!
Thank you to our supportive community!
