We’re celebrating an incredible achievement from one of our own 🎉

Madison Hensley, a senior at Dickinson College and a Safe Harbour intern, took first place in the College’s Public Speaking Contest!

Sponsored by the Burgess Institute for the Global Economy, this year’s theme, “Changed For Good,” challenged students to reflect on someone who made a lasting impact on their lives. Madison’s winning speech honored her child advocate, Mr. Carby, whose support helped shape her path and passion for advocacy.

While the Burgess Institute focuses on business and global leadership, Madison’s success is a powerful reminder that strong storytelling, purpose, and lived experience transcend any one field.
