2020 Match Madness Campaign Celebrates Success

Safe Harbour raised $18,275 in gifts with a “match” multiplier from the Partnership for Better Health, M&T Bank, and the Josiah W. and Bessie H. Kline Foundation of $3,538.81 to total $21,813.81 during this year’s Match Madness Event!

Throughout March, 31 local nonprofit organizations participated in the annual matching gift campaign. This year a total of dollars raised was over $449,414!

The Match Madness campaign supports area nonprofits in raising core operating and program funds that are flexible to meet their needs. This year, the Partnership’s matching stretch pool grew to $80,000 with the generous support of M&T Bank and Josiah W. and Bessie H. Kline Foundation.  During the 2020 campaign, the total funds raised by community organizations grew by 46 percent and the total number of donors grew by 31 percent, with 1118 contributors

When the total raised was added to the $80,000 match pool, the grand total for this year’s effort increased to $529,414.

Now in its fifth year, Match Madness offers participating nonprofits a proportionate share of its stretch pool for the funds it raises during the campaign.

The Partnership for Better Health celebrated the campaign’s success with a video highlighting the participating organizations. It can be seen by clicking HERE.

Safe Harbour wishes to thank all of the donors for their support during its particularly unprecedented time of need and uncertainty. We are truly humbled by the unwavering support of our donors!
