We took to the outdoors on September 23 for a re-scheduled Shomaker Classic with over 100 golfers hitting the links at Carlisle Country Club. Beautiful weather and appropriate social distancing practices led to an overwhelming success to benefit the shelter and supportive services programming at Safe Harbour. UPMC Carlisle once again sponsored this annual outing which honors the late Monte Shomaker, a well-respected community leader.
The ninth annual Safe Habour Skeet Shoot followed on October 2 at Carlisle Fish and Game, which brought out over 35 participants. Sponsorships from F&M Trust and the MLB Foundation, made the day an overwhelming success, again benefitting the residents of Safe Harbour and the programming for the homeless and nearly homeless of our communities.
Together, the Shomaker Classic and the Annual Skeet Shoot brought in over $30,000 for Safe Harbour.
